Hraun

Hraun (2016) is based on a recent geologic field excursion to the area
Holuhraun in Iceland, summer 2016. It was developed in collaborations with
Icelandic Institute of Natural History and Institute of Earth Science,
University of Iceland. The images are portraits of very young and very old
almost weightless lava rocks focusing at the internal structures and
processes of the rocks.
The work is produced in the darkroom using heavy fiber-based paper.
